About Enthorned

Enthorned is a folk-fantasy webcomic about grief, duty, and the slow, hard work of healing.

Maeve is a witch who has taken it upon herself to guard a strange, half-sealed rift at the heart of the forest. Not because it was ever truly her responsibility, but because someone she loved gave everything to keep it contained. 

Stephen is a scholar who moves into the other half of her quiet cottage to study the rift. He’s rational, reserved, and convinced emotions are best handled privately, if at all. Where Maeve runs on instinct and impulsivity, Stephen believes in reason, distance, and careful control.

As the forest grows stranger and the rift refuses to stay dormant, the two are drawn into an uneasy partnership shaped by investigation and the kind of slow-burn connection that sneaks up on you while you’re focused on surviving the day. Together, they must face a creeping, eldritch mystery… and the harder truth that every magic comes at a sometimes too great cost.
